Co-Founder & Coach

Jay Stephenson, our Co-founder and Coach, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team. With a background in business administration (B.S. from Berry College) and a master's degree in exercise science (M.S. from Georgia State University), Jay possesses a unique blend of knowledge that he applies to his coaching philosophy.

Jay's coaching journey began in 2005 at Shorter College, where he honed his skills as a coach. His commitment to learning and improvement is evident in his list of certifications, which includes Functional Movement Certification and USA Track and Field Level 1 and Level 2 certifications.

Notably, Jay has played vital roles in the sports community, serving as the Sport Chair for the SSAC (Southern States Athletic Conference) from 2010 to 2012 and as the Vice Chair of the USATF Georgia Association LDR (Long Distance Running) from 2012 to 2013. He's also been a Coaches Advisory Board Member for the USATF Georgia Association in 2010 and 2011.

What sets Jay apart as a coach is his genuine passion for people and their athletic journeys. He thrives on sharing in the success of athletes, regardless of their skill level. Jay's true devotion lies in the personal connections he makes with runners and witnessing them achieve their goals. His coaching style is characterized by a deep commitment to both the sport and the individuals he guides, making him an invaluable asset to our team.
